Pacific Kwila, also known as Indonesian Teak, Pacific Teak, Afzelia, and Borneo Teak, is a resilient and durable tropical hardwood mainly forested in the South Pacific. Kwila is a straight-grained wood with a dark brown color similar to walnut, and has a hardness factor of 8.6 as one of the strongest and most durable outdoor timbers in the world. The high oil content makes it weather resistant and pest resistant while its high density and hardness make it durable for garden furniture. Products made from Kwila timber can be left out in the weather permanently, and is kiln dried, preventing warping.
